Size 2 Ashley Benson Had A “Weight” Problem

Ashley Benson was rejected for a role because she was too fat! Imagine that.

In her interview with OceanDrive, she revealed:

“I was just told I was too fat for a part…I’m a size 2! I cried for 30 minutes, but then you have to let it roll off your shoulders or it could cause a serious eating disorder. A lot of people in this industry hear they need to lose weight more times than they should. It does make you stronger, though. Because if you let that affect you, you can’t be in this industry—you’d go crazy.”

And she is really nowhere near fat.

What caught our attention is her frankness about the pursuit of perfection amongst celebrities. She said,“I saw photos from a shoot of myself just the other day and thought, What the hell? That doesn’t even look like me! I was so disappointed.” She continued “I hate to think that girls are like, ‘She’s so skinny! Her skin is so perfect!’ I have pimples just like they do.”

To prove it, the outspoken actress posted a photo of herself with dots of zit cream on her face on Instagram. Why? “Because I wanted to show people I’m not perfect—no one is.”

Pursuit For Perfection Can Hurt

We reflect on her statement which holds so much truth. For all the celebrities who are undergoing plastic surgery to get that perfect face or body, you all should sit up and listen to Ashley Benson.

It is refreshing to know that despite gaining fame and fortune, Ashley Benson sounds true to herself.

Ashley sticks to her values and said during the interview that she “would never want to do anything that would sabotage” her career. She even said “ I’d rather have dinner and drinks at someone’s house than go batshit crazy in public. It’s not my scene.”
