Deborra-Lee Furness had her breakthrough in the movie called Shame. She played a heroic character, Asta Cadell, who fought hard against felons. Furness won the Best Actor Award from the Film Critics Circle of Australia and Golden Space Needle. She looked fresh faced in the movie as well as in the movie posters.

While attending the 66th Annual Tony Awards held in New York City in 2012, Deborra-Lee Furness opted for minimal makeup (as always) and looked completely at ease with her looks. Despite those neck lines showing up 4 years ago, Furness has not paid particular attention to it as her neck lines are still visible. No signs of a neck lift. In fact, she looks splendid just  being natural.

Just when most people thought that Deborra-Lee Furness will not succumb to the pressure of using plastic surgery, she surprised everyone when she appeared puffy looking during the 68th Annual Tony Awards in 2014.

The differences in her looks cannot be greater. Her forehead looks artificially smooth, which is a sign of botox use. Her eyes look squinty, suggesting that she might have undergone an eye lid surgery. The wrinkles around her eyes seem to have disappeared somewhat.
